On April 1st, the School of Marxism of Nankai University, in collaboration with the Public Security Bureau of Binhai New Area, organized the themed training program. The program focused on two key themes: “The Sinicization of Marxism” and “Party-Building Leads Grassroots Governance”, aiming to deepen the understanding of Sinicization of Marxism among young police officers and enhance their political literacy and professional competence, thereby cultivating more outstanding young talents for the development of the Party and the nation.
In the welcoming speech, Lan Hao, Vice Dean of the School of Marxism, introduced the development history of Nankai University and the remarkable achievements of the School in recent years in terms of discipline construction, faculty team building and talent cultivation quality. He expressed the hope that both sides would take this training as an opportunity to deepen understanding and promote cooperation. Yu Bin, Deputy Secretary of the Communist Youth League Committee and first-level police superintendent of the Comprehensive Affairs Section of the Political Department of Public Security Bureau of Binhai New Area, on behalf of the Party Committee and Youth League Committee of the Public Security Bureau, explained the training objectives and put forward requirements such as training discipline.
Professor Xiao Guangwen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, delivered a lecture titled “Constantly Opening Up New Horizons for the Sinicization and Modernization of Marxism”. He provided an in-depth analysis of the origins, connotations, historical progression, and theoretical achievements of the Sinicization and modernization of Marxism. Through vivid historical examples and accessible theoretical explanations, he enabled the trainees to deeply understand the importance and urgency of the Sinicization and modernization of Marxism.
Professor Sheng Lin elaborated in depth on the significance of grassroots governance in the national governance system with the theme of “Party-Building Leads Grassroots Governance”. Drawing on his years of research achievements and field investigation experience, he elaborated in detail on the theoretical connotation and practical path of Party-building leading grassroots governance.
During the interactive communication session, the trainees exchanged views with the teaching experts on the problems and confusions they encountered in grassroots governance work.
Ji Yuhao, the member of Student Propaganda Team for Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, gave a presentation on the theme of “From ‘People-Oriented’ to ‘People-Centered’”. Many student representatives of the propaganda team participated in the subsequent interactive exchanges.
This training program also organized young Marxist trainees to visit the exhibition on the century-long history of Nankai University, leading the trainees to deeply understand the patriotic spirit of Nankai people’s integrity, patriotism and courage to take responsibility, and gathering strength to further continue the red bloodline of the public security force’s loyalty to the people.
