Memorizing of the heroic Martyrs during Qingming Festival, Cherishing the Family and the Country, and Upholding the Original Aspiration | The School of Marxism of Nankai University held the theme activity of "Remembering during Qingming Festival, Cherishing the Family and the Country forever"
In order to pay tribute to revolutionary martyrs through solemn ceremonies, inherit the red genes and cultivate the feelings of family and country, on the afternoon of April 6, 2025, some members of the First Party Branch of the undergraduate and the Xinsheng Party Branch of the School of Marxism of Nankai University, as well as the activists applying for Party membership from of the classes of 2022, 2023 and 2024 undergraduate, gathered in front of the statue of Premier Zhou in Jinnan Campus to hold the theme activity of "Remembering during the Qingming Festival, cherishing the Family and the Country forever".
The event kicked off in the solemn national anthem. All the participants stood in s reverence facing the statue of Premier Zhou and paid tribute to the motherland with passionate songs. Later, all the students bowed their heads and observed a minute of silence to express their deep condolences to the martyrs who sacrificed heroically for the country and the people, conveying their remembrance and respect for the heroes in silence.
The recitation session pushed the whole activity to a climax. Four activists applying for Party membership from the class of 2023 of the School of Marxism took turns to come on stage, expressing their feelings through poems and conveying their aspirations through articles. Zhou Qi recited the poem "Call" with deep affection, depicting the deep remembrance of the martyrs between the lines; Guo Puyan presented a poem "Qingming Festival", telling the feelings of remembrance during the Qingming Festival with delicate brushstrokes; Wu Yaxin recited the poem "Motherland, My Dear Motherland", expressing her pure heart for the motherland with ardent feelings; Gao Jiace's poem "Prosperous China" showed the prosperous scene created by the spirit of martyrs, which resonates with all the students. These affectionate recitations led everyone through time and space, allowing them to feel the loyalty and the sense of responsibility for the family and the country of the martyrs.
In the process of recalling the oath of joining the Communist Youth League, all the league members solemnly swore to the League flag. The sonorous oath echoed in front of the statue of Premier Zhou, demonstrating the firm determination of young people in the new era to keep their original aspiration in mind and shoulder their mission bravely. Subsequently, party member reaffirmed their oath of joining the Party. In the solemn oath-taking, the activists applying for Party membership deeply felt the mission and responsibility of the Party, and further strengthened their belief in getting closer to the party organization.
Remembering the martyrs is not only to remember history, but also to inherit their spirit and continue to struggle. Through the immersive ceremonial education, this activity enables young students to deeply understand the spiritual connotation of the feelings of family and country during the Qingming period, integrate their patriotism and aspiration for a strong country into their daily life, and write a new chapter of youth struggle in the new era.
It is reported that the School of Marxism of Nankai University will continue to carry forward the spirit of the martyrs, inspiring everyone to follow the example of martyrs and practice the youth oath of " Rest assured, Party, we will strive to make our country strong" with practical actions.
