To thoroughly implement the spirit of national and Tianjin municipal education conferences and effectively promote Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New era into textbooks, classrooms, and minds, the launching ceremony for the training of teaching guideline for “Three Integration” of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era was held in Nankai University on December 27. Liang Qi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Nankai University, attended the launching ceremony and delivered a speech. Yang Ming, Director of the Department of Ideological Education and Management for Students of the Education Commission of Tianjin Municipality, participated in the launching ceremony and deployed the work. The ceremony was presided over by Fu Hong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Marxism of Nankai University.
In the speech, Secretary Liang Qi pointed out that it is a basic task to thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the guiding principles from the 20th National Congress and the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and to integrate the Party’s innovative theory into textbooks, classrooms and minds. Nankai University has always attached great importance to the running of course of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the “Three Integration” work. Since 2018, Nankai university has taken the lead to compile and iteratively revise the teaching guidelines in collaboration with manyexperts and educators in Tianjin, which has become one of the brand projects of Tianjin’s ideological and political course construction. This revision and compilation is more systematic and timely compared to previous ones. It reflects the high political judgment, political comprehension, political execution ability and profound theoretical cultivation of the ideological and political education teachers in Tianjin. Secretary Liang hoped that the ideological and political course teachers at all educational stages in Tianjin can take this this training as an opportunity to further study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress and the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and ensure high-quality implementation of the “Three Integration” work of ideological and political education in all grades and levels of primary, secondary and higher education in the the upcoming semester.
Yang Ming, Director of the Department of Ideological Education and Management for Students of the Education Commission of Tianjin Municipality,made a work deployment. First of all, he expressed his gratitude to Nankai University for its exemplary role in the revision of the “Three Integration” teaching plan this time, as well as the joint participation of teachers from all universities and primary and secondary schools in the city, as well as the research and teaching advisors from each district’s education bureau. He stressed the critical importance of effectively teaching Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and emphasized that revising and applying the teaching guideline for “Three Integration” is a pivotal measure. The two departments of Education of the municipality will also introduce a series of measures to enhance the construction level of ideological and political courses.
Yu Yifan, Executive Vice Dean of the School of Marxism of Nankai University, introduced an overview of the comprehensive revisions to the teaching guidelines.
Representatives from Tianjin’s collaborative innovation centers for ideological and political course also detailed updates to course-specific guidelines.
The relevant officials from the School of Marxism of various universities in Tianjin and the Education Bureau of each district attended the launching ceremony.
It is reported that Nankai University has continuously taken the lead in the revision of the teaching guidelines for “Three Promotions” . This teaching guidance plan has expanded from the initial 4 courses in universities to currently covering 16 courses at different educational stages of primary /secondary and higher education, promoting the construction of ideological and political courses and simultaneous advancement of the Party’s innovative theoretical armament.
