On the morning of January 9, 2025, the meeting to promote the teaching work of ideological and political courses was held at the School of Marxism of Nankai University. The purpose of this meeting is to fully mobilize all teachers and students of the school to actively participate in the upcoming undergraduate education and teaching review and evaluation work, and make specific arrangements for the teaching of ideological and political courses in the new semester. The meeting was presided over by Professor Sun Shoutao, vice dean of the School of Marxism and attended by all faculty members.
At the beginning of the meeting, Wang Xinsheng, former vice-president of Nankai University and dean of the School of Marxism, emphasized in his speech that this round of undergraduate education and teaching audit and evaluation has been officially started, and the whole school should further improve its political position and deeply understand the great significance of evaluation. He asked all the teachers and students of the school to actively participate in the evaluation work with a high sense of responsibility and mission. Only with the concerted efforts of all teachers and students, can the evaluation work be carried out smoothly and achieve excellent results. He emphasized the important position of ideological and political courses in the evaluation and pointed out that ideological and political courses are one of the contents highly concerned by the evaluation experts. Teachers of the School of Marxism must pay full attention to this evaluation and take this evaluation as an opportunity to further improve the teaching quality and effectiveness of ideological and political courses and contribute to the undergraduate education of Nankai University.

Subsequently, Fu Hong, secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Marxism, conveyed in detail the spirit of the mobilization meeting for the review and evaluation of undergraduate education and teaching and made specific arrangements. She introduced the importance and specific requirements of the evaluation work, and pointed out that the quality of undergraduate talent training is the lifeline of the development of Schools and universities. The new round of review and evaluation work should strengthen the education orientation, stick to the bottom line of quality and pay attention to practical results. Fu Hong also conveyed the spirit of Principal Chen Yulu's speech at the mobilization meeting, emphasizing that higher education is the leader of building a strong education country, and undergraduate education is the foundation of higher education. Nankai University should focus on building a Nankai outstanding functional talent training system with three-dimensional integration and five-educations as the core, and actively construct an undergraduate education quality assurance system with comprehensive monitoring, analysis and feedback, and continuous improvement as the main line. At the meeting, Yu Yifan, executive vice dean of the School of Marxism, made specific arrangements for the teaching of ideological and political courses in the new semester. He first thanked all the faculty members for their hard work and excellent achievements in the past year. He said that as an important base in the teaching of ideological and political courses, the School of Marxism should not only undertake heavy teaching tasks, but also play a benchmark role in undergraduate evaluation. He emphasized that the ideological and political course are the top priority in this undergraduate evaluation, and all the teachers of the ideological and political courses should attach great importance to classroom teaching and continuously improve the teaching quality and effectiveness. He asked all teachers to carefully prepare lessons, carefully organize teaching contents and teaching methods to ensure that each class can achieve the best teaching effect. Yu Yifan also particularly emphasized the importance of teacher-student interaction. First of all, he conveyed the spirit of the plan recently issued by the university on the comprehensive improvement of the use of scientific research funds, which requires strengthening the supervision and management responsibilities of the project leader and the colleges to ensure the use and standardization of scientific research funds. Lan Hao reported the negative list in the use of scientific research funds, and asked all teachers to strictly abide by financial regulations to ensure that the scientific research funds are used in compliance with regulations. Lan Hao also conveyed confidential matters and provided tips and education on holiday safety work, applying for leave and reporting for going abroad, and preventing telecom fraud.
