Recently, the final of ‘New Youth Tell New China's Story - New Journey Write New Great Chapter’ 2024 Tianjin University Students' Ideological and Political Courses Public Lecture Competition sponsored by Education Working Committee of Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Education Commission was held in Tianjin Science and Technology University. The team of Yang Linye under the guidance of Associate Professor Liu Yibo of our college won the second prize and the most theoretical depth award.
Under the title of ‘Hand in Hand with Hunan Girls, Painting the Xinjiang’s Future Together’, Yang Linye's team focuses on the hot topic of ‘forging a strong sense of community forthe Chinese nation’, taking the real-life examples of team members' experiences in supporting Xinjiang as a clue, connecting the magnificent chapters ranging from “Eight Thousand Hunan Girls Climbing Tianshan Mountain” to the buildingof Chinese national community in the new era and comprehensively and systematically explaining the important connotations of the Chinese national community and the significance of reinforcing thesense of the Chinese nation as one community . Insisting on the unity between history and theory, highlighting students’ initiative and making good use of the ‘Great Ideological and Political Courses’, Yang Linye’s team made efforts to guide young people to establish a correct view of the history of the Chinese nation, and to develop an awareness of the Chinese nation as one community of shared future, in which everyone shares the rough times and the smooth together. The lecture was delivered with profound connotation, clear logic, pleasant talking, vivid real cases and solid theoretical accumulation, and therefore was highly evaluated by the judges from teachers and students at the scene.
In the future, our college will continue to promote the organization of the ‘Great Learning and Piloting Plan’ on the university-level, and actively mobilize and guide teachers and students to participate in activities such as the Open Class Exhibition of Ideologicaland Political Courses for College Students from National Universities and the Microfilm Exhibition of Ideological and Political Courses for College Students from National Universities. The College will build a resource platform for youth publicity and interpretation, and endeavour to cultivate more young people who can let the Party rest assured, keep being patriotic and dedicated, and can shoulder the responsibility of rejuvenatingthe Chinese nation!
