On October 8, the Second Plenary Session of the 21st Student Congress of the School of Marxism was successfully held in Room 208 of the School of Marxism.
All student representatives attended the session. Hu Yingxin, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and vice dean of the School of Marxism, Dai Longfei, secretary and Gao Tianqi, deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee of the School attended. The session elected two official delegates to and one student committee candidate for the 31st Student Congress of Nankai University.
The staff of the Student Union counted the number of representatives before the session. And the number of participants reached two-thirds of the required number, Du Ye, the host , announced the start of the session and read out the “Session Notes”.
At the session, all representatives listened to and reviewed the “Agenda of the Session (Draft)”, “List of Vote Supervisors and Counters (Draft)” and “Election Rules of the Session (Draft)”. After the campaign statements made by two candidates, Gao Jiajun and Zhang Jiahui, the voting of student representatives and the counting of votes, the session elected the official delegates and student committee candidate.
At the end, Dai Longfei, the Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the School, gave a summary speech. She pointed out that official delegates have the obligation to keep in close contact with classmates, summarize and express their voices, and make suggestions for the development of the School. And her speech inspired all student representatives to play the role of bridge and link, serve classmates better, and promote the development of the School more.
It is reported that this session has enhanced the democratic and responsibility awareness of all students. The elected official delegates and student committee candidate will cherish their rights, fulfill their obligations, strive to serve their classmates, and contribute to the development of Nankai University.
