In order to thoroughly implement Xi Jinping’s important instructions on the construction of the ideological and political courses, the ceremony to commemorate the 120th founding anniversary of the Nankai series of schools and to further promote the holistic approach to the education in political philosophy at primary schools and secondary schools and institutions of higher learning was held in the Haibing Building of the Balitai Campus of Nankai University on June 19.
Liang Qi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Nankai University, and Wang Xinsheng, former Vice President of Nankai University and Dean of the School of Marxism, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. The leaders of Nankai series schools, heads of the Student Affairs Department, the Academic Affairs Department, the Youth League Committee, and the School of Marxism of Nankai University, and representatives of experts and scholars attended the meeting.
Liang Qi pointed out that Xi Jinping made important instructions on the construction of the school’s ideological and political courses and emphasized:“In the new era and on the new journey, the construction of ideological and political courses in the new era faces new situations and tasks and must show new trend and newaccomplishments”. Nankai University has further promoted the reform of “Big ideological and political courses”, highlighting its leading role for the integration of ideological and political education among universities, middle schools and primary schools.In the past 120 years, Nankai Series schools have made achievements worthy of confidence and pride. Liang Qi emphasized that all parties should not only be confident in the mode and way of running schools but also have the awareness of and confidence in inheriting and innovating the Nankai culture, constantly striving to improve the pertinence and effectiveness of integrated construction, and making every effort to cultivate well-developed socialist builders and successors.
Wang Xinsheng said that the integration of ideological and political education among universities, middle schools and primary schools is an important aspect of the construction of ideological and political courses in the new era. We must give full play to the role of ideological and political courses by strengthening political functions of the education community, continuously strengthen the supporting and integrating functions of the community of course construction , and jointly promote the integration of ideological and political courses among universities, middle schools and primary schools of Nankai series schools to a high level.

It is reported that on the occasion of the 120th founding anniversary of the Nankai series schools, the School of Marxism of Nankai University signed the cooperation agreement with other Nankai series schools to strengthen cooperation in patriotism education, curriculum development, teacher team construction, social practice, resource sharing and other aspects. The School of Marxism of Nankai University will lead to establish a cooperative and coordinate group and a regular contact mechanism, encourage exchanges and cooperation between teachers and students, and jointly promote to foster virtue through education.
