On August 19, the 2024 training course of Tianjin Teachers' College of Further Education for Ideological and Political Theory Courses (Introduction to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era), sponsored by Tianjin Municipal Education Committee, and co-sponsored by the School of Marxism of Nankai University and the Tianjin Collaborative Innovation Centre for Ideological and Political Theory Courses in Schools (Introduction to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era of), officially began. Wang Shengsheng, Executive Vice President of Institute of Xi Jinping of Socialist Thought with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
In his speech, Wang Shengsheng introduced the practices and achievements of the university in taking the lead in offering the course ‘Introduction to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era’ and setting up a teaching and research department, as well as gathering strength from the whole university tobuild a golden classroom of ideological and political coursesaccording to the standard of the ‘Golden Course’. He pointed out that the training course on Introduction to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era is rich in content with aim to improve the teaching ability of teachers to better meet the requirements of teaching the course. It is hoped that the participants will study seriously, communicate fully, and get the mastery of connoisseurs and apply it in their lectures.
The training course invited a number of experts and scholars who teach the Introduction to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to carry out practical teaching on the hot and difficult issues of the course, and arranged a total of 18 expert reports with specific and rich contents, which will effectively helpthe participating teachers to broaden their horizons, enrichtheir knowledge, and continuously improve the level of teaching and educating people in the ideological and political courses.
After the five-day study, a closing ceremony for the 2024 Training Course was held on the afternoon of 23 August. Sun Shoutao, vice Dean of School of Marxism, Nankai University's, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech.
Sun Shoutao pointed out in his conclusion that the training was rich in content and compactly arranged, and the trainees generally felt that the training had achieved its purpose and surpass their expectations. He hoped that all the trainees would further digest and absorb the training content as soon as possible after the training, transform the training effect into classroom teaching effect, and make continuous efforts to make the ideological and political courses deeper, more thorough and more active, and realize the high-quality development of the teaching of ideological and political courses.
Tianjin Teachers' College of Further Education for Ideological and Political Theory Courses is one of the municipal permanent projects of the discipline of ideological and political education under the auspice of the Two Committees of Education of Tianjin Municipality , aims to implement the deployment of the Central Committee and the Ministry of Education, and to comprehensively improve the construction level of Introduction to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. A total of 54 teacher trainees from various universities in Tianjin attended this time.
