Studying and implementing Xi Jinping’s Cultural Thoughts and commemorating the 40th anniversary of establishing the major of Ideological and Political Education —the 12th Seminar for the Collaborative Construction of the Ideological and Political Education Undergraduate Major among National Key Universitieswas held in Nankai University
On April 13, the 12th Seminar for the Collaborative Construction of the Ideological and Political Education Undergraduate Major among National Key Universities was held in Nankai University to study and implement Xi Jinping’s Cultural Thoughts and commemorate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the ideological and political education major. More than 160 experts, scholars and students from more than 60 universities, as well as representatives from Journal of Ideological & Theoretical Education, Studies on Marxist Theory, Studies in Ideological Education, Ideological & Theoretical Education, The Party Building and Ideological Education in Schools, Teaching and Research on Marxist Theory, Tianjin Daily, and other important publications and media gathered in Tianjin to discuss in-depth the study and implementation of Xi Jinping’s Cultural Thoughts and explore the collaborative construction of ideological and political education major.
The Seminar was hosted by the Joint Conference of Ideological and Political Education Majors of National Key Universities and the School of Marxism of Nankai University, and co-organized by the Research Institute for 21st-Century Marxism of Nankai University and University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, National Universities Teaching Alliance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, Research Alliance of Xi Jinping thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era among Tianjin Universities, National Teachers Training Base for Ideological and Political Course (Nankai University), National Collective Lesson Preparation Center for Ideological and Political Courses(Nankai University-Hunan Province), National Key Research Base for the Construction of Textbooks on the Introduction to the Basic Principles of Marxism, and the Virtual Teaching and Research Office of the Basic Principles of Marxism Courseof the Ministry of Education.
Wang Xinsheng, former Vice President of Nankai University and Dean of the School of Marxism, Peng Qinghong, Vice President of University of Science and Technology Beijing and Executive Deputy Editor of Studies in Ideological Education, and Yang Ming, Director of Student Ideological Education and Management Office of Education Working Committee of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. The opening ceremony was presided over by the Executive Vice Dean of the School of Marxism of Nankai University. The opening ceremony was hosted by Prof. Yu Yifan, the Executive Vice Dean of the School of Marxism of Nankai University.
Finally, Gu Dawei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Marxism of Shandong Normal University andthe representative of the sponsor of the next seminar, delivered a speech and sincerely invited colleagues of ideological and political education disciplines to attend the seminar in Shandong next year.
It is reported that this seminar gathered a group of both senior scholars and young and middle-aged ones majoring in ideological and political education to summarize experience in professional construction, exchange scientific research results, and to talk about talent training experiences, which is conducive to further promoting the collaborative construction of ideological and political education undergraduate majors.
