In order to deeply understand and practice the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress and fully grasp the essence of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, Nankai university organized the “Promote Cohesion and Forge the Party's Soul” specific social practice activity in 2024. The purpose of this activity is to deepen teachers‘ and students’ understanding and application of theoretical knowledge through practical activities, to use the real society as vivid teaching materials, and to jointly build a unique “Big Ideological-Political Courses”. Under the active advocacy and promotion of the Party Committee of the university and the cooperation of all schools, this activity has received wide response and active participation from teachers and students. After strict screening and evaluation by the university and schools, 108 projects stood out, including 26 key projects at the school level and 82 projects at the school level, which fully demonstrated the enthusiasm and achievements of teachers and students for theoretical learning and practical exploration.
Teachers and students of the School of Marxism actively engaged in social practice, and a total of 15 team projects were reported. After a strict evaluation procedure, all 15 projects of the college were successfully approved, including 4 university-level key projects and 11 university-level projects. These projects cover a wide range of fields such as education, red culture, rural revitalization, ecological civilization, etc, which completely reflect the profound understanding and innovative application of Marxist theory by the teachers and students of the School, and also demonstrate their active exploration and excellent achievements in social practice.
