On January 18, Nankai University held a collective preparation meeting for the course of the Introduction to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era with the theme of “How to Give Good Lectures on Xi Jinping’s Cultural Thought”. Chen Yulu, President of Nankai University, attended and delivered a speech. Wang Xinsheng, former Vice President of Nankai University、Dean of the School of Marxism, Liu Fengyi, Minister of the Publicity Department and He Wenxia, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of Nankai University, made keynote speeches. Nearly 30 people attended the meeting, including the leadership team of the School of Marxism, heads of all teaching and research departments s, all teachers in the Teaching and Research Department of the Introduction to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and some student representatives. The meeting was chaired by Fu Hong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Marxism.
At the meeting, the head of the Teaching and Research Department of the Introduction to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era introduced the basic situation of the course construction. The participantsdiscussed the issues of “The background, process and theoretical system of Xi Jinping’s Cultural Thought”, “The status and importance of Xi Jinping’s Cultural Thought”, “Better integrate Xi Jinping’s Cultural Thought into ideological and political courses” and “The relationship between teaching of Xi Jinping’s Cultural Thought and social practice”. The meeting lasted nearly three hours.
Teachers and students said that through the preparation meeting, they has a deeper and more unified understanding of how to teach “Xi Jinping’s Cultural Thought” well. In the future, they will strive to accurately and comprehensively integrate the latest theoretical results into the teaching process and make new contributions to the continuous teaching of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
