In order to deeply study, publicize and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on patriotism education for young people, cultivate young people's correct values, and inspire young people’s patriotism and motivate them to become capable people who serve their country, the Municipal Working Committee for Education of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and the Tianjin Municipal Commission of Education held the Series activities themed as "Patriotic Struggle at the Right Time", which is the First Patriotism Education for primary and secondary schools and colleges in Tianjin.
After the evaluation, teacher of our college Cui Yu's work "Study School History to Remember Century-old Glory and Practice Youth to Show Patriotic Sentiment " won the first prize of the competition for the Theme of Party Day Class Meeting Design, and the student Wang Ziru’s work "Red Sun Rising and the Youth " won the first prize of the Theme Photography Competition for college students.
Cui Yu's work "Study School History to remember Century-old Glory and Practice Youth to Show Patriotic Sentiment " takes the main line of studying and inheritance of the spirit of patriotism of Nankai University, including three designs ofthe famous teacher’s lectures, publicizing of school history, and giving lectures together by teachers and students, , aimed at guiding students to understand, inherit and practice the soul of the patriotic spirit of of Nankai University, inspire their deep love for the party and deep and the country , nourish their love and pride for the university, and strive to become young Chinese who can take up responsibility for national rejuvenation in the new era .
Wang Ziru's photo "Red Sun Rising and the Youth " was taken at sunrise in September 2023 at Dongjiang Port in Tianjin. The young people in the picture are standing at the riverbank enjoying the sunrise. When the first ray of dawn broke through the sky and the red sun rose slowly, they have already become as one together with the vigorous sunrise. When the shutter was pressed, the time is fixed.
