Recently, the founding conference of “Big Ideological and Political Courses” Construction Alliance with the Integration of Memorials and Universities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region was Held in Xibaipo, Shijiazhuang. The theme of the conference was “Fostering virtue through education, integrating memorials and universities, and promoting the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region”. Professor Liu Fengyi, Dean of the School of Marxism, attended the conference on behalf of Nankai University.
The conference passed the constitution of the Construction Alliance, and signed and issued the initiative jointly. The conference advocated that the Revolutionary Memorial Hall and the School of Marxism strengthen exchanges and cooperation, jointly improving the pertinence of ideological and political work and enhance the effectiveness of joint construction and sharing.
The Construction Alliance was initiated by six units: Renmin University of China, Xiangshan Museum of the Founding of New China, Nankai University, Peking Tianjin Campaign Memorial Museum, Hebei Normal University, and Xibaipo Memorial Hall while other universities and memorial halls in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region would voluntarily join the alliance in the future. The Alliance aims to build a large platform for diversified co-education of talents, to promote the reform of “Big Ideological and Political Courses”, to mobilize and integrate the resources of the memorial hall and the school, to combine ideological and political theory with the red spirit, to form an alliance of ideological and political practice education bases with great red educational significance and to jointly promote the coordinated development of “Big Ideological and Political Courses”. The establishment of the Alliance is not only a new approach to the construction of “Big Ideological and Political Courses” in the new era but also an innovation and exploration of ideological and political reform.
