On June 24, the second 21st-Century Marxism Summit Forum was grandly held in Tianjin. Experts and scholars gathered at Nankai University to conduct in-depth discussions around the theme of “21st-Century Marxism and Chinese-style modernization” and to promote the study program to move deeper and practically.

Wang Weiguang, former Dean of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Dean of the Research Institute for 21st-Century Marxism of Nankai University and the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Xing Yuanmin, former Chairman of the Tianjin Political Consultative Conference, Shen Lei, Member of the Standing Committee of Tianjin Municipal Party Committee, Zheng Xinli, former Vice Director of Policy Research Centre of the CPC Central Committee, Xue Jinwen, President of Tianjin Federation of Social Sciences, Chen Yulu, President of Nankai University, Xu Qingsen, Director of the Department of Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education, Feng Ziyi, Director of the Marxist Philosophy Research Centre of Peking University, Li Lin, former Director of the Institute of Law of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Zhang Yi, Vice President of the Chinese Sociological Association, and Zhao Jianying, President of the China Social Sciences Press attended the forum. Yang Qingshan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nankai University, presided over the opening ceremony of the forum. Liang Qi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Nankai University, Wang Xinsheng, former Vice President of Nankai University, and Yu Hai, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Nankai University, attended the forum.

This forum was hosted by Nankai University and the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, organized by the Research Institute for 21st-Century Marxism of Nankai University, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences University and the Chinese-style Modernization Development Institute of Nankai University, and co-organized by the China Social Sciences Press and the Chinese Dialectical Materialism Research Association. The forum invited experts and scholars from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Party School of the Central Committee of the CPC, Policy Research Office of the CPC Central Committee, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Nanjing University, Fudan University, Nankai University and other well-known universities, as well as media staff from mainstream journals and newspapers to attend the discussion.
