A Collective Lesson Preparation Meeting on Introduction to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for
a New Era among the Universities from Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei province was held in Nankai University.
In order to comprehensively implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the 20th Party Congress, and continuously promote the "Three Advances" of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to move deeper and more practically, the heads of Teaching and Research Departments of Outline of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era from more than 30 universities in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei province gathered in Nankai University to hold a collective preparation meeting on June 10. Yang Ming, Director of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee's Education Work Committee and the Municipal Education Commission's Student Thought Education and Management Division, and Li Xiangyang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Head of the Propaganda Department of Nankai University, attended the meeting and delivered speeches.
In Li’s speech, he said that it is timely for universities from Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei province to hold this cross-provincial and cross-school collective lesson preparation meeting, which is an important embodiment of the implementation of the theme education objectives and requirements, as well as an important initiative to play a key role in key courses. He said that the universities will take the opportunity of this collective preparation meeting to give full play to the role of the National University Teaching Union of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to build a collaborative platform for the regular exchange of teaching innovation in the class "Outline of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era". Enhancing consensus and forming synergy jointly contributed to the quality and efficiency of the "Great Ideological-political Course" and to the connotative and high-quality development of ideological and political education.
Yang Ming pointed out in his speech that this preparation meeting was an important exchange since the establishment of the National University Teaching Union of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. By means of this preparation meeting, experts and scholars were able to provide ideas and measures from three aspects, such as how to teach the course of "Outline of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era", how to effectively integrate the great achievements made in the extraordinary decade of the New Era into the teaching contents of the course and how to improve the teaching effect of the course of "Outline of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era" as well.
In the keynote speech, Prof. Yan Xiaofeng, Chairman of the Sub-Teaching Steering Committee of the Ideological and Political Theory Course "Outline of Xi Jinping's Socialist Thought with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era" and Dean of the School of Marxism of Tianjin University, explained that the "Second Integration" is a major achievement of the Communist Party of China in exploring the Socialist Path with Chinese Characteristics. The "Second Union" is not only a major achievement in opening up a new horizon for the modernization of Marxism in China, but also a regular understanding of the Communist Party of China in exploring the Socialist Path with Chinese Characteristics.
Prof. Tao Wenzhao, Deputy Director of the Sub-Teaching Steering Committee of the Ideological and Political Theory Course "Outline to Xi Jinping's Socialist Thought with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era" and Deputy Dean of the School of Marxism of Renmin University of China, presented the overall outlook and development of Xi Jinping's Socialist Thought with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, focusing on three aspects: basic literature, theoretical overview and ideological system.
During the one-day conference, teachers from various universities had an intense exchange and discussion on the construction of teachers' team, the evaluation of teaching quality and the key and difficult issues of the course of "Outline of Xi Jinping's Socialist Thought of Chinese Characteristics in a New Era". In conclusion, Liu Fengyi, Dean and Prof. of the School of Marxism of Nankai University, expressed the gratitude to all the experts and scholars who participated in the meeting and hoped that with the good start of this preparation meeting, the universities in the three regions would undertake the glorious mission and make joint efforts to contribute to the high-quality development of the course of "Outline of Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era".
