In order to study and implement the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and promote the research of ideological and political education and human modernization,Soochow University holds the “Seventh National Ideological and Political Education Discipline Young Scholars Forum and In-depth Study and Implementation of the Guiding Principles from the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China” theoretical seminar from April 14 to April 16 in Yongjing Villa, Suzhou City. More than 30 young scholars from Peking University, Renmin University of China, Nankai University, Fudan University, Wuhan University and other universities share their opinions and conduct exchanges. Wang Hainan and Deng Rui, graduate students from the School of Marxism of Nankai University participate in the discussion activities of the sub-forum.
The opening ceremony of is presided over by Chen Jianjun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Marxism, Soochow University. Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Soochow University Deng Min, Professor of the School of Marxism of Lanzhou University Wang Xuejian and Editor of the Teaching and Research magazine Li Wenlingdelivered speeches successively. Chen Jianjun welcomed the scholars and thanked everyone for their support, and introduced the basic situation of the construction of the School of Marxism of Soochow University. Wang Xuejian congratulated the convening of this seminar. Li Wenling put forward requirements and expectations for the creation of young scholars.
In the keynote speech, scholars discussed “Ideological and Political Education and Human Modernization”. The keynote speech was divided into five stages, with two scholars making speeches and discussions in each stage which were followed bysummarizing and evaluating from experts. The atmosphere was warm and the content of the speeches were rich. The participants exchanged and discussed the modernization of Marx and Engels’ works, the construction of the knowledge system of ideological and political education, the research of pedagogy methods and the Internet ideological and political education.
At the end of the conference, the Professor from the School of Marxism of Hohai University Sun Qiangthe Professor from the School of Marxism of Fudan University Gao Guoxi,and the Professor from the School of Marxism of Wuhan University Xiang Jiuyugave speeches. the Dean of the School of Marxism of Soochow University Tian Zhijianmade a summary. And they all hoped the young scholars would make great progress in the future.
